Differences between old and new Kimber?

I have a Kimber of Oregon model 84 Super Varminter 223R. I would like to get a McMillan A5 stock for it but McMillan doesn't seem to make them. They do however make the A5 for the new Kimber "America" model 8400 Tactical in 308 (I think the 8400 are long actions but their site states 308 caliber wich ought to be a short action.)

How does the footprint on the new and old Kimbers differ? Would it be possible to put my old Oregon rifle in a stock made for the newer model or are they completley different rifles?

The new Yonkers NY receivers are totally different. No parts are the same. The Oregon guns will share more in common with modern day Cooper rifles. Short answer. Hell no. It won't work.

Your old Kimber has a small bolt diameter of .557" and is a true short action, the The kimber 8400 is a longer action and has a bolt diameter of .685", There is also the Kimber 84M it has a bolt diameter of .590" and is a true medium action it comes in 7-08 & 308
