Has anyone tried the micrometer powder adjuster I recently saw advertised in Handloader Mag recently OR has anyone invented a home method of accurately indexing the powder bar? I'm looking for something quicker and better than trial and error. I have found once set, the Dillon holds the charge very closely, so that is not an issue.

Are you talking about this?

I've got one that I use for .243 where I use different loads for different bullets. It works great. I can return it to the recorded setting for a specific load and most of the time it is right on the weight with very little, if any, adjustment needed. For calibers that I just load a standard load it would be a waste of money for me.

I buy extra powder bars and set them for all of the loads I use. They are easy to swap out once you empty the measure to change powders. I have a few that haven't moved in decades.

Mdm, one of the draw backs to the sdb was working up loads (drop powder, remove case, check load, make a guess at turning bolt, repeat, repeat, repeat. This seems like the answer to the hit and miss of increasing .1 to .5 grains in working up loads. Thanks for responding.

I have the MRDial works great easy install. Has smooth adjustments and numbered increment dial. I found it easy to change measurement, Between my 9mm loads for fmj and hp loads.

I use my SD's to work up loads more than anything else these days. Start low and turn up until I get the chronograph numbers I need, then crank out a batch for further testing. Working up for 3 different bullet weights using 4 powders in under two hours. Weeks the old way.

Man, I've heard of "taking it to the street", but this sheds a whole new light on taking it to the range! jmorris- with that setup one can literally enjoy a whole day at the range! Great set up!

Had to do that in a more crude way back in the 90s when we hit a really hot "Dog Town in SD. I ran outta ammo and had to make it in the field.
