I have some extra parts for my Square Deal. The previous owner had just dumped them in a bag. I have a complete large primer assembly with tubes, housing, low primer alarm, installed Large primer slide and slide assembly.

I also have an additional slide that looks identical to the installed large primer set up in the assembly.

I have two additional large primer cups and the springs and stems that go with them. The cups for them are much smaller in size, both in height and diameter, at the base, than the small primer cup I have. The small primer cup is really the largest of the cups but the stem fits it perfectly while it doesn't fit in the smaller, large primer cup as well. Hope that makes sense.

There is no problem mounting either cup, spring and stem to either of the slides. There is no marking on either slide to indicate small or large slide.

Are the slides the same for both small and large primers?

Disregard...called Dillon and asked about the differences in sizes of the cup and the tech said that the large, small primer cup was not for a Dillon. Probably some extra part the previous owner had just put in the bag. He then got my address and is sending everything I need to convert to small primers. Awesome customer service as usual..Oh BTW...The sides for large and small primers are the same.

And make sure you have the "stem" or primer punch pin seated all the way down in the slide, compressing the spring before you snugg the set screw down to hold it. If you don't the cup will be too high and ruin the plastic orface tip instantly.
