All: I love my Dillon Super 1050 press, now that I think I have it mostly figured out and properly adjusted.
Right now I am using a RCBS full length, non Xdie, sizer in 223. Works well enough, but the lock ring is maybe grasping one thread or so locking it into the press.
I have been thinking of an X die in this application, and I wonder whether it has the same outer dimensions as the standard 223 die, or whether there might be a little bit more threaded portion so that the lock ring will grasp at more threads?
Anybody have any experience with this?
I could purchase a die from Dillon, and I may end up doing this, but the X die is what I have my heart set upon.
Thanks
