I like discreet carry cases. I take my folding stock AK to the range in a tennis racket case. Someday I'm going to sew my own carry case out the most non tactical pattern I can find at Hobby Lobby.

Last week my wife ran across an old saxophone case that a neighbor had put on the curb with the trash. Ever the wise woman, she picked it up thinking that it would fit AR. It just barely fit. Have to pop the pins and put the upper in diagonal, but it works. I still need to add some more glue, and the orange strap was not well positioned, but it works. Holds an AR, a XD pistol and 3 mags for each, if one is in the pistol. All it needs now is a some happy liberal stickers for extra urban camouflage.

After a tornado I found a soft guitar case (no instrument) in a field several miles away. That case became the home of many of my shorter long guns, and was getting to be pretty handy as I sewed zippered pouches inside and put a velcrow wall in it for some cheap holsters Walmart sold for air soft guns. I lost that case in a poker game twice in the same night to a guy I was hitting local competitions with. Last I heard it still housed an AK and 2 1911s. The heft of the case carrying guns, ammo, gear, 2 bottles of water, a bag of Doritos and a Milky Way would be too much for me.

Blackhawk.com .....

Blackhawk of VA Beach VA, www.Blackhawk.com sells a good low profile rifle/shotgun case.
Id look at that if I wanted to buy a new AR or M4. It has pockets & is lined to protect the weapon(s).
