Any of you clay shooters familiar with the DO-ALL AERIAL ASSAULT AUTOMATIC TRAP thrower. I just ordered one from Natchez shooting supply. Normally it sells for $599.00 everywhere I have ever seen it. They (natchez) have them on sale for $399.00 after discount and store gift card use. I was just curious if there is any special/preventative maintenance needed or quirks I should be aware of.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
P.S. link below shows photo of thrower.

Let us know how it goes. I am always looking at new traps. The Atlas traps seem to look really good for the money, and I haven't heard anything bad about them. I must now go and remove the wiring from a Winchester-Western, which is older than me.

There is a quite lengthy discussion on Shotgun World about the Aerial Assault. They had a number of issues with the first runs of them but the company is bending over backwards to make it right with all purchasers and the reports of the updated or latest revision models are glowing.

I believe the latest revision is "G". If yours isn't a G, or you have any issues getting it throw birds without breakage, call them and they will make it right.

Look forward to seeing your report when you get it up and going.

You know, brand new top of the line throwers from Pro-matic are only like 2200 to 2800 or so
Used probably about half that.
might be the way to go.

Thanks for everyone input. Scoupe I was referred to that very same 18 pages of postings in regards to that model by a member form another BB. All in all I am feeling good about the purchase. Appears there were several problems early on, however the company really seems to have caught up and made some changes and their customer service looks to be top rate. Hopefully I won't have to find out myself but always good to know that a company steps up when needed. It is scheduled for delivery sometime today. It will be a day or two until I am going to able to test it out, but will give my results when I do.

I bought one of these via Ebay from Wholesale Hunter and received it yesterday. I was told it was the most current model out prior to ordering. Came with complete instuctions on a DVD for assembly, which took about 20 minutes and the required tools. Took it out today and launched a hundred birds. Absolutely no malfunctions and this thing can really fling em'. I guess my old hand cocker was getting tired because this trap throws them much faster. I used both the foot pedal and the remote control unit I bought for it and both worked fine. Shipping weight of the unit was 69 lbs. but one guy can wressle it into a truck without too much trouble. Good thing is that it doesn't move around once it's on the ground. I'm pretty happy with it and the variety of shots I can produce with it will make me a better shot. Now, if I could only hit the birds...
