Do I need my CCW permit to get the mail

In my neighborhood in FL the mail boxes are only on one side of the street, so I have to cross the street to get my mail.

Would I be required to have my ccw permit on me when going to get the mail? I am leaving my property so I would need a permit to carry, but I would think the mailbox is my property.

Is the street your property? I think that answers it. If you went to a separate piece of land that you own, would you need one? Also, is the box really yours or one put up by the Post office?

How long does it take for you to get to the mail box? I have to wait 45 days before my renewed permit comes in. Hopefully I will survive until then.

I figured as much, but was thinking about this while mowing the lawn.

Distance wise its only whatever the width if the dirt road is between my property and where the box is located.

And it is my own mail box on a post
