Do you shoot with both eyes open?

I'm a both eyes open kind of guy - but I've been known to close the left from time to time while trying to exercise extreme precision from a scope. (Playing card @ 200m 2.5x)

One of the best parts about using both eyes is the ability to retain a better sense of situational awareness... it's hard to see someone coming from your flanks while you've cut off half of your vision.

I do, and I actually trained myself to following some tips I had been given.. I never believed I could and reverted to one eye a number of times when the going got tough but I persevered. The turning point for me was shooting a stage and feeling like I was taking too long to acquire the sights and I blamed it on trying to decide between the real image and the left eye 'ghost' image. Taped the left glasses over and went again and was surprising slower (timers do not lie)..

If you need some tips I can provide..

I generally shoot with both eyes open. I find it helps aquisition time, especially with a scoped rifle. I may close one eye if I'm really concentrating on drawing a fine bead, though.
