anyone ever heard of them or know anyting about them??

vendor that frequents the local gunshows selling 1911 and AR parts, has lower receivers made by this company and outwardly at least it seems like a good deal... $205 for a complete lower, Vs.

Armalite Eagle.....$236.95
Bushmaster............$289.95
DPMS..................$219.95
Rock River Arms.......$225.00

on the other "complete with A2 stock" lowers they carry.

so anyone have some info ??

used one of these?

any info is welcome.

thank you

I think Doublestar is another name for J&T Distributing. I bought a 20" barreled A3 upper receiver from them and it slapped right onto a RRA lower with no problems.

http://www.jtdistributing.com might have more info

based on the website, i think J&T might sell Doublestar uppers, but unless they sell to dealers through a second source/site they're not "the same as" double star....

J&T has it spelled out on their website (in the "lower parts" page) that they do not sell lower receivers.

reminds me i need to go get my hipwaders and take a troll on AR15.com again see what i can find.

Double Star and J&T are owned by the same people. Double Star is the company that they market lowers/complete rifles through.

I have no experience with Double Star, but if they are any thing like J&T, they will be a good value with decent quality.

Well, I do have experience with Doublestar, built a dandy little Car-15 clone with their lower and a J&T upper. Liked it so much I bought a couple more. Looks like a super lower to me.

so far so good, looks like i might be trying one for the upcomming A1 project, if another idea i had doesn't win out.

to some folks a few dollars here and there don't really matter much, but to me who has to count every penny that goes from my wallet into guns, (all "gun stuff" purchases just went on hold b/c my car transmission went out, and the $300 i was gonna put back to start the AR fund next friday, is now spent :( )

thanks for the replies so far guys
