I'd like to practice drawing and dry firing with my P30 V1 because I am sometimes not able to go to the range for two or three weeks at a time.

Is anyone aware of a product available like the SIRT for a P30? I'm not thinking that racking the slide each time is the most productive use of my time.

If not, any other suggestions are welcome.

I use a laser cartridge and converted my P30L to a VO: Lite LEM with a hammer while maintaining the de-cock function for dry-firing. I just thumb cock it between shots.

Interesting. I didn't know such a beast existed.

What do you think about the laser? I've read that it's important to pull the trigger until the magazine is empty and then to look at the target. Granted, this is in reference to shooting at the range, but I wonder about its applicability in this situation.

I wish an HK-patterned SIRT pistol existed but it does not (to my knowledge).

Amen.

Very useful depending on how you use it. I use it as an addition to normal dryfire practice. It and a timer set on a par time can be very helpful in getting your draw times down from buzzer to 1st round hit. It also works well for support hand shooting etc. You can zero it somewhat by rotating it in the chamber to get a 12 o'clock hit, so you're seeing the dot over the sights. IMHO it's very good for working trigger control and follow through.

I don't know about emptying a magazine before looking at a target, I primarily shoot IDPA and 3GUN, so there's an assessment going on for every target as they're being engaged.

Interesting. Can you post or PM me a link?

These are the ones I use:

Google them and you'll find them cheaper. I have one of the TGTs, but it sits idle other than for off-hand practice when I'm working accuracy. I have a small dryfire range in my basement that I use for practice using IDPA Silhouettes:
