Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson on ballot, NRA Board of Directors

Well, judging by the ratings of the 3rd season premier the other night, they Robertsons appeal to plenty of people.

By that standard Honey BooBoo would as well. I'm not arguing against the guy, i know little about him and have never watched the show. However, based on superficial appearances and how the show has been described to me I can't see this guy having broad appeal.

The NRA needs to be mindful that the opposition swears up and down they aren't mounting an assault on the 2nd Amendment. A NRA representative who begins every public appearance by defending CWP's and 30 round magazines from the outset ends up preaching to the choir. We would do well to be represented by people that have appeal to the uncommitted public and who share our 2nd Amendment convictions. The middle can be educated and swayed by that type of representation more effectively than a gaggle of Nugents.

Agreed, in my area the teenagers love this show. Hopefully this is more than anecdotal with the show appealing to young Americans. This, with some luck, could also give us a fresh look at the NRA.

I don't see very many young popular spokesman currently on the board.

I enjoy his show, but does anyone know anything about his stance on 2A issues? Duck Dynasty really isn't a hunting show, and is even further from a gun show.

This is what I'm wondering. I love the show, and he seems like a cool guy, but I'd really want to know what his stances are.

Well. For what it's worth I used to have a twitter account and followed him. After the legislation crap started flying he made some pro 2a comments. He made his fortune off gun owners.
