I picked up one of these (http://www.basspro.com/Champion-Dur...t/product/1304031541/?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT) a while back and just got to try it out today. Well lets just say I am so far not impressed. In one 10 round mag from a ruger mkiii I have at least one bullet lodged in the target that I can see, and I have a bulge in a different place which seems to indicate that there is another lodged in it. It also bounced a bullet back into my sternum which hit with some force. It felt like someone threw a rock at me as hard as they could, but fortunately it bounced off of me. Needless to say I am not very happy with them at this point.

Has anyone else here had experiences like this with these self healing reactive targets?

I tried to call the company about removing the stuck bullets, but everyone was busy.

I haven't had much luck with the spinners, seems like I always end up with a couple of bullets hitting the metal rod and jamming so it doesn't spin anymore. The cubes that sit on the ground work fine.

I've had the same experience so I keep to longer distances. It also seems that .22s will ricochet more, so I only shoot those out at the desert.

In all fairness though, these are rated up to .50 caliber, so the rubber has to be pretty tough. I shot mine with a 7mm Rem Mag and it left a small hole.

They hold up fairly well, but I don't expect tons of use out of them. Not too bad of an investment for $20.

Slower handgun rounds seem to work best.
