i just picked up an EAA witness match gun, in 45... of coarse and can i say..... i am very impressed.

http://www.eaacorp.com/handguns-witness-elite-match-description.html

i took it to the grandparents farm, and put 100 rounds off wolf performance ammo through it. one ragged hole at 7 yards, and its my first time shooting this pistol. i cant wait to see what it could do with some premium ammo, or handloads!!!

ill have pics soon. i promise...

i payed $600.00 out the door, with two extra mags. works out to be $515 for the pistol about $35 tax, and $50 for the two extra 10 rnd mags.

i love it. the case is also amazing, and the trigger seems like a 300 dollar job, and its set at the factory. it feels better than my fathers friends colt 1911.

one question i have.... for those of you that might already own a witness match...

is the outside of the barrel diameter the same on all the different caliber barrels? i.e... the outside diameter of the 45 acp barrel the same as the 10mm, 40 cal, or 9mm... if so, could they be interchanged as long as the lugs are lapped to fit the one particular slide. anyone have any info, or knowledge on this subject???

thanks guys, and like i said, i promise some picks. brian

I've wondered that also. But I don't think so, but if you have Caliapers I can measure my 9mm and you can your .45. The Extractor will be different also.

The barrels on the EM pistols are polygonal. Although I've also shot lead bullets with no issues, you need to watch out for lead build up. If not at least monitored or cleaned out regularly the build up could become problematic.

What's with the yard signs? Will you keep those up after they lose?
After watching the debate I really couldn't tell who was for less government or who was for less spending, who spoke to and for the taxpayer etc........
I can't in good conscience vote for either one of the major party's candidates.

I have a Witness Match in 38 Super,it is a great gun as is my Cz's.
I shoot cast bullets mostly and leading is never a problem.
I roll all my cast in Lee Alox, stand them up to dry overnite.

Not on my 10mm Match. Loves lead bullets. Loves every bullet. Could be my easiest shooting, best accuracy pistol. Great value for the money spent.

I just bought a Blade Tech Holster for it. They are the only ones who make a Match Specific Holster. What are you guys using for a mag pouch?

The barrel calibers are interchangeable. I have a 10mm Elite Match, and recent bought a 38 super barrel, that is about to be sent off to be reamed to 9X25. The lugs will require some fitting, but the barrel OD is the same.

This is also true for the standard witness. The three barrels (EM-10mm, Standard-10mm, and 38 Super) are all interchangeable, excepting that the standard barrel is .25" too short for the EM slide.
