Educate Me on Gen 4 Glocks vs Gen 3's.

The Gen 4 Glocks have been out for a while and I need some education on their preformances.

I shoot in some high speed, low drag, shooting disciplines with Gen 3 Glocks and I was wondering how the Gen 4's match up to the Gen 3's?

I'm thinking a faster recovery time b/c of the dual recoil spring, which would help with the "control pairs, double-triple taps", or whatever you want to call them.

Are the triggers the still the same as the Gen 3's? Also, are there any "fly's" on the Gen 4 for the higher pressure rounds in .40/.357/GAP that I haven't mentioned?

Can you please expand on the first sentence, I'm interested. Also could you tell where you read that .45GAP was a high pressure round?

As for your question the dual spring set up helps with recoil and it has super cool back straps. It also has a new texture similar to what was on the RTF2 guns.

I found the changable backstraps handy. Maybe it's just me, but the trigger feels better on the Gen 4's.

Interestingly, just yesterday I was in a gun shop looking for a Glock 19. The Gen4 was only $30 more than the Gen3. The former had the olive green frame and I just didn't like it.

Also, the new grip texture was not really "my cup of tea". I chose the gen3 as it pointed where I looked so changing back straps were a non-issue. Now if it was the G21, which I had at one time, this would have been different as the gen2 and gen3 G21 always pointed up for me.
