I'm looking to start reloading for 380 ACP soon and possibly for the Ruger LCP, which from internet rumor seems to have the smiley problem (bullet hitting feed ramps and being slightly pushed back...i think). Anyways, I'm wanting to get maximum case tension and was wanting to use a EGW undersize die. I do not see one listed on there website. I already have the 9x19 die they sell, I am thinking this will work with 380 as well....am i correct?

bummer, maybe i will look a little harder at the sig p238, i just dont know if i can get over the price difference between the sig and the LCP

Most all standard .380 sizing dies will size the case smaller then it needs to be before the expander expands it again.

If you want more neck tension, turn the expander stem down a couple thousands.

While on the subject, I have been reloading for a Kel-Tec P3AT for five years with standard Lee carbide dies. Bullet set-back has never been a problem.

I did modify my barrel so it doesn't do "smileys" much at all though.

Still, I think standard dies, especially with a reduced dia. expander, will do just fine for you.

I'm loading Missouri Bullets for my LCP's with absolutely no setback. That is until I re-chamber the same round for a fifth time. Only did that a few times to test tension.
