I'm loading some medium loads for .357 using a 158g coated lead SWC bullet. I placed two bullets side by side, one down, one up. I noticed that the crimp groove was the same location up or down, in other words, it would be in the same location in a case regardless if loaded up or down. It's exactly at the halfway point of the bullet.
Considering this, if I decided to load a few of these base up to simulate a wadcutter, would I be creating any type of hazardous condition?
I understand I could just use an actual wadcutter, accuracy might not be the best, etc, but not having any wadcutters on hand, thought this might be interesting to try just from an experimental point of view.
