This is the second shotgun I have incountered over the years that when fired the empty sticks in the chamber for a few seconds before you can extract it. The chamber being smooth and clean this happens mostly with low base shells and it appears that the brass must swell in the chamber to prevent extraction . As soon as it cools (maybe a 5 count) it can be extracted with no problem. High base ammo generaly works much better as the brass may be thicker and less deformity occures during firing. I do not have head space gauge's so cannot check this but believe this may be the problem. Has anybody else incountered this ? Comments or fixes ?
One was a Marlin M120 and now a Savage M67 both in 12ga.
