I've seen a lot of great reloading benches on this site, some are truly amazing. I, however, am in search of ideas for a small, enclosed reloading bench.

I'm currently renting and moving to another rental and need to come up with something good. Right now I have a small reloading bench I built inside of a closet here, the new place is lacking closet space so I'm thinking a stand alone thing would be the way to go. I need an enclosed bench because I have a very curious toddler and I don't want her getting hurt.

I've seen a couple nice cabinets converted to reloading benches so I'm leaning towards something like that. Any other suggestions??

Im thinking something like an Armoir (sp)... open space on top with doors and drawers down below. Might take a little modification but it could work. Garage sales or used furniture stores might be a good place to look or get some ideas. Anal organization will be key to making something like this work.

Good Luck!

Yeah, that'd probably be the way to go. Some sort of armoire, tv stand , wardrobe and the like. Thanks, I'll start scouring craigslist. I'm thinking I'd have to reinforce from the inside and screw the whole thing to the wall for stability.

Don't laugh but what about an old refrigerator. just build a shelf of some sort and it comes with a door that would be easy to lock up

That's not a bad idea either. If I could find a small apartment sized one that might be an option.

Steel office furniture, I have an old lockable supply cabinet I use for ammo storage. that would work admirably for your purpose.

A guy on another forum did just that. Built a beautiful one that is in his living room.(Armoire)

Wow that is nice. I thought I'd have to look for something deeper but that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I move in 2wks so I have to wait till I'm there to take some measurements but an armoire seems like the way to go.

Thanks

as always... GREAT contribution Rule3

thats a great Idea... i bet a local yard Sale would have something like that.. or Check Home depot for the Garage Storage Closets....

mount your press to a piece of 2"x6" and clamp it to whatever surface you have. everything you need to reload will fit in one large plastic tote container.

Picked up a computer desk this morning. It's pretty heavy and seemed sturdy so it should need little modification to make it work. Not bad for $20

Thanks for the suggestions, now if anyone has any more pictures/examples of this type of reloading cabinet I'd appreciate seeing them!
