The noob needs a little more help from those wiser than him...
The Story
I recently ordered an eotech 512 for my FAL, and it should be arriving in a couple days. I hear that the 512 sits fairly low, which is a good thing. But of course...I had to get some extra stuff...so I purchased a knock off 3x mag for $50 total.
All is good and dandy, but the mount is a little too flimsy for my liking, so I plan on getting a solid 30mm QD ring to make the whole setup a little more sturdy.
The Problem
I need to know a very accurate figure for the Eotech 512's centerline (or the heght from the mounting rail to the very center of the viewing window) in order to line up the 3x mag. I don't have a micrometer or an Eotech (yet), so its kinda hard to figure that out. Does anyone out there know? Thanks for helping!
P.S. When its all said and done, I will post some pictures and a review/range report!
