Anybody ever use Expansion Industries ETR-7 powder? Sounds somewhat readily available, and appears to carry good reviews. Loads for anything from .380-45acp, and 38/357,44rem mag, and even shotgun.... To good to be true? Price is reasonable.

No, that's the total price delivered per pound. Just put one in cart, you'll see, it's hard to understand at 1st.

$100 bill gets 4 pounds delivered. My only issue with them is that their load data is a little wanting on detail. I've even to their "load master" for velocities on how it works with 10mm and .357 mag and not heard back. My request for info from him was 10 days ago.

I also am curious but for now, I'll wait for LongShot at the same price.

Seems to be getting popular, what with the poor availability of name brand powder.

Ex, I think it is too fast burning for best results in 10mm and .357. Not unusable, but you will not get maximum velocity.

8# is $177.00 thats hazmat, and shipping charges. so Its $22.13 per lb shipped and hazmatted.

We'll see how it compares to Titegroup.

be safe

This might be a dumb question but anyone no if this powder is always going to be available? And was some of his less tighter groups with 40 cal. when one of the two were shooting a glock ?

Nothing guaranteed. It is selling well because the name brands did not stay available.
If it disappears, go back to an old standard or work up loads for The Next New Powder.

Well yeh Jim that's what I would do. But noing that it is not always available kind of just changed my mind a smidge! Thanks for the info.:)

If it works, buy a case or 2, then don't worry about it....unless you shoot a whole bunch! I know 12 pounds would last me for a long time, unless I was loading shotgun shells.

Finally got a case in today...Loading a .44mag for an 1894P. It calls for a max load of 11.3gr in a 44mag, so I loaded 5 at 10.5, 5 at 11, 5 at 11.5, and 5 at 12gr respectively. Primers were all just fine, groups were so so for in a bullet trap at 40ft, and velocities were within 38fps for consitancy. Tomorrow, I am going to start at 12.5gr, and go up by .5gr till it starts cratering, or till I can get 1800+FPS out of my Marlin, whichever comes first. I am guessing, it'll be around 14gr, as I am just at 1500 now... We shall see, at $16.50 delivered, it's worth a try.
P.S.... It's pretty damn clean burnin too.
