When mounting a variable power scope, should you mount the scope using the lowest or highest power? I recently was mounting a Leupold 4-14 scope and didn't notice until I had it all set up that it was on 14x. When I turned it to 4x, I couldn't see a darn thing! The eye relief was all off. Would the same thing happen the other way around? I'm more used to fixed power scopes and haven't had this happen before.
