Is there any kits available for HK 41/91 to convert to full auto (Registered)? I really like the G3, it is really accurate in single and recoil is apparently not as bad as FAL or M14s in FA. But is there any registered kits available?

There are registered auto sears out there that can be dropped into appropriately set up semi HK guns to convert them to full auto, yes. From the listings I've seen you can expect to pay anywhere from $12K - $14K for one, when you can find them.

If you have a registered sear ($12,500 - $14,000) you can install it in a modified full auto trigger pack, swap out your HK91 bolt with a G3 bolt, install the pack, and you're ready to rip.

There may be some tweaking involved to get it to run 100%.

Whoa whoa I could buy a G3A3 for that much

Nowhere near as good an investment as a sear.

You can install a sear on any (suitably modified) H&K 9x series gun, and have it run full auto.

Anything from an MP5K to an HK21E. That's why they're so expensive.

That's true - and then you'd have one F/A HK. With a sear you can set up any number of HK style guns - MP5s in multiple calibers and configurations, HK53s in multiple barrel lengths, likewise G3s; and all can run FA in the same registered sear. Make sense now?

Same rules apply. Lightning links, drop-in auto sears and full auto lowers which were registered prior to the 1986 ban are transferable, and registered LLs and DIASes can be purchased at the price of $6.5K - $10K or so. Unregistered, all of the above are illegal machine guns, with all the legal consequences thereof.

Sheesh. For $12K-$14K, You can buy a Lathe, a Milling machine, a Shop Press, some tools, some AK47 Kits and Ar15 kits, and use your Garage as your shop. Apply for the FFL07 SOT by sending away for the papers from the ATF, set up your appt to have them come by and check out your set up after you have filled out and turned in your application. Let them make sure you're 5x5, pay your $650 a year, and make the F/A Guns and suppressors you want, as long as you send in the proper papers and reg them to your business, you should be GTG. YOU HAVE TO SEND OUT(or fax)and KEEP THE PROPER PAPERWORK FOR EACH FIREARM AND EACH SUPP YOU MAKE ON YOUR OWN.
I have a local friend who is an FFL07 SOT. He constantly makes his own suppressors, mainly because he is in the process of R&D on his own line of Supps. And he converted almost all his assault rifles to F/As after his FFL07 SOT permits came in. He had to send in papers for each gun to the ATF, he had to do the conversions himself and buy the parts to do them himself, but being an FFL-07, you can do that. He also builds guns for customers, you have to manufacture them...you can't just get your permits and make all your guns into whatever you want and buy whatever you want...it has to be a working business. But you can build guns as a side job. As long as you are making SOME income from it, and keeping a VERY DETAILED LOG of your work and transactions, youre fine.

I am ultimately planning on manufacturing Firearms myself. I have lots of ideas and R&D projects involving that side of things. I already make knives and such, I already have 60% of the equipment I need. And I am never gonna pay $12K-$14K for one little trigger group. You gotta be crazy or rich. I am neither....yet. :)

Planning on it myself. I'm gonna follow all the laws, of course...do it right and all. I just want to transition from making knives into firearms AND knives at some point. :) It wont be tomorrow or anything, but it will be soon.
