I don't use Facebook at all anymore for 'keeping up with friends and relatives, as it is WAY too time consuming, and I really don't need or want all the unnecessary "updates" from everyone.
BUT, Facebook's "Marketplace" seems to have replaced Craigs List as THE place to look for bargains on used items.
Current example: I needed a compact toaster oven to cure powder coated bullets which I am slowly equipping myself to cast, coat, and size.
Found this on Marketplace:
This is a Cuisinart (good brand) that sells new here in Canada for $179 CDN. I bought it for a garage sale price on Marketplace, where it had sat for over 5 weeks simply because other cheaper ovens were listed there for $10 or $20 less.
It's stainless steel, digital controls, heats and holds up to 500 degrees, times baking for up to 2 hours, gets up to target temperatures very quickly, has a LARGE tray to set the bullets on (it will apparently hold a 12" pizza), has a removable bottom tray to catch any debris, and an all-glass door for great visibility of the moment of "melt" at 450 degrees which, per Eastwood Powders, should then be followed by 20 minutes of curing at 400 degrees. Perfect!
And no shipping cost! (picked up 10 minutes from my home)
