Factory .308 ammo in a 95 Palma chamber?

I originally posted this question in "Rifle Country" and had no response. This may be the better pace to ask the question.
I don't mind loading for the Palma, but want to know if I can use factory ammo in a pinch.

Ammo for 95 Palma

I,m just about to pop for a Savage Palma or F/TR in 308.
I've not been able to find any information on ammo options for the Palma.
Will the Palma safely shoot factory .308 Win. or NATO (7.62) ammo out of that 95 Palma chamber?

I've never had a problem in any of my 95 Palma chambers. But I only shoot Fed 155 grn palma, 168 SMK, 175 grn SMK or Black Hills equivalent.

Note the 175's & 155's shot the best, but the margin of difference was almost immeasurable.
