It looks like I have a buyer for my beloved STI 2011 Limited gun. :( I put it up for sale around the first of the year, but didn't push too hard to sell it as I have such mixed feelings about letting such an awesome gun go. But... I am definitely moving towards the Carry Optics division in both USPSA and SCSA, and I hate to let a beautiful gun like this sit in the safe and not be used by someone who will love her as much a I do.

I don't really need the money, but it is nice for sure. I just want her to have a good home, and it looks like she has found one.

It is very sad to see her go. She is really a beaut, and every time I pick her up, there is just a smile that creeps over my face.

Farewell old friend. I hope you make your new owner as happy as you made me!

I'd have a hard time parting with that gun if I didn't need the money.

Yeah, it is 100% amazing and beyond. I am just too old to compete with the young bucks in Limited, and my eyes don't see like they used to. Reflexes slow down, etc. Time to shoot more for fun and relaxation than to be so uber competitive.

The gun needs to be shot, it is definitely NOT a safe queen. I think it has found a good home, so I am happy about that.

I got rid of G26 and Walther PPS because those could not compete with 11oz .38 revolver. Them .38 HST MICRO +P rounds are wonderful no bullet pulling out under recoil.

I was going to trade/consign my Edge, but now that STI discontined the Edge models I don't feel like I can let it go. Same story with my STI Trojan.

I did the same thing with a 6 inch Colt Anaconda .44 mag. I bought it from a work mate that needed money, cheap. Only fired one box of mild reloads threw it to ck for proper function. I really didn't like it or need it sense I already had a .44 mag. So after about 10 years I traded it on a pistol I have wanted but couldn't afford all my adult life. A Springfield Loaded Target 1911, .45acp. I more than doubled my money on the Colt and finally got the gun I always wanted . HAPPY CAMPER hdbiker

I was on the other end where I luckily picked up a STI Marauder for a great price. She's now my USPSA and SCSA gun.

I woulda just mounted a dot and played in Open.

Thought about it, but as mentioned, I am getting older and really don't want to compete with all the Young Bucks any more. I am getting fat and old!

Here is a video of me from last September, and you can see that I don't have the speed and reflexes like I used to. The last target, I hit 2 "C's" from close range. I normally let the "C's" go (shooting Major), but it frustrated me so badly to miss such an easy target, I came back and shot the target again! Ugh.

I am ready to be put out to pasture and start competing in the "Old Man's Division" (a.k.a. "Carry Optics").

Sucks to get old... :p:neener:
