Went to Bass Pro Shop yesterday to see what the gun/ammo situation looked like and it was bad ... have seen worse ... but still bad. A lot of shotshell and various rifle calibers but no .223/5.56 and only a few boxes of .357, .380, and .44.
So we walked away a couple of isles when, after a few minutes, it looked like feeding time at the zoo in the handgun ammo isle! BPS folks came along and were restocking bunches of 9mm (Remington, American Eagle ... I'd say about 100 boxes total), Federal 525 Bulk .22LR, and some other calibers. Folks were grabbing 5 boxes at a time! I managed to snap up 2 boxes of Federal 525 out of the 3 left (had to be considerate you know ...)
Ammo still tight but being in the right place at the right time sure helps.
