few questions??? bipod/ammo...

ok i was at gander mtn. today i am looking for a bi-pod for my gun. really looking for a harris, but no body sells them around here. they had one called a rock mount, or rock point?? i cant remember which one, but are they and good or should i just order the harris off line.
second. i went and got some more ammo for my 30-06, grabed some horniday stuff. i'm kind of experementing with what shoots best in my gun. has anyone had experiences with horniday ammo?

hornady ammo is good stuff. arguably, the best.

bipods... i have harris' and i have the chinese knock-offs.
the chinese bipods work the same way as the harris, and are designed the same as the harris, but they need a little refinement. eg, it is common for the little screws that hold the legs to the base to back off and let the leg go.

for the money, they are good bipods, and would reccomend them for a first bipod (at half of harris). if/when harris gets it together and realizes their patents expired, and drop the price of their bipods to something more in line w/ the knock-offs, then i would reccomend and buy harris everytime. but for the money, as long as you know what to fix before you mount the bipod onto your gun, the knock-offs will work.

yeah thanks, i kinda thought horniday was good. i will tell how it goes sunday night.

the crazy thing was that the chineeze bi-pod was 69 dollars. for that price i think i will just order one from delta force or something.

for $69, buy a harris.
