I'm a newly licensed FFL Gun Dealer in the state of Kentucky, I run a gun/pawn/card shop. Could somebody point me in the direction to where to buy bulk guns for cheap or some good distributors? I used the Blue Book of Gun Guides and called several gun manufacturer's home offices and they're sending me catalogs supposedly with dealer prices, but a lot of companies didn't even offer me any kind of dealer discount. I looked in ShotgunNews and GunList and didn't see very many good deals, ordered a few from in there. Any help on this issue is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Im still an amatuer, so please dont think im posting to waste your time. However, if you order off of Gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com, the gun has to be sent to a FFL dealer. So there are ALOT of good deals on there. Mainly single guns, no bulk. Some are nice and cheap. However, they arent the same prices you would get when you order with the manufacturer. So sorry if this wasnt any help.

Thanks for that txt list, but that was published in 1989.. so I'm doubting most of those businesses still operate or do you know for sure?

Thanks

simmons gun specilties(sp). or RSR,we use SGS because there close,we drive to them,it saves shipping.Jerry's sports owns simmons gun specilties,we are not part of that company anymore, thank god.

First off, make a bunch of photocopies of your FFL. Nobody will send you anything without a signed-in-ink copy of your FFL in their hands - no faxes. Mail them out to everyone you wish to do business with.

There are so many more wholesalers than this......but these should be a good start.

Have fun!!

Might see if Sport South is still around, down in Louisiana... Back in the day I bought 90% of my inventory from Sport South, Zanders, Ellet Bro's, SOG and RSR.

Sportsouth is still there. Good folks to deal with and they seem to like small folk.

If you want to sell Military surplus, check out Century Arms international, they are the big dog when it comes to milsurp importers. SOG buys their stuff from Century.

If you are looking for used guns in bulk try KY Imports. I have purchased from them before and had no problems, BUT there are many who have run into attitude problems with them though I don't know how many of them were for bulk sales.

I thought I read just recently that fax and even Email attachment copies of an FFL are now as long as you verify them with EZ check. I'll see if i can find the referance....makes sense if it's true. Of course it will take the FFL dealers about 10 years to all learn it if it is now OK...half don't even know they can take a shipment from a non-FFL. I can understand if they don't want to...but to not know it is legal is unacceptable.
