There was an auction last week for guns, and I could not be there so I left bids on several 45 autos. I did not want to get hurt on the price, so I bid fairly low.
I got a call from the auction company on Monday telling me that I had gotten the bid on one gun.
The gun was a Firestorm 45 Compact with the Duotone finish. I checked the gun out and it appears to have never been fired. I bought the gun for 240.00, which I think was a good price. I was just wondering if I got a really good deal?
Also, I am wondering if these guns are very good or not? Are they dependable? Accurate? The reason that I am asking is that I am trying to decide whether to shoot it or not.
I presently carry a Smith 4516, or a Smith 66. This gun is about the same size as my 4516. I know that it is not a Smith, but just wondering if they are any good?

Firestorm

An EXCELLENT value for the money! If you believe that "the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west" you can rely on the Firestorm to not only function, but provide "combat accuracy" (or better) within ranges you expect to encounter during emergency. I have a friend that owns one, and he has yet to encounter a singer failure to feed, fire or function when it was needed.

Enough said.

If its a 1911 style it was made by Llama' If more modern style made by Bersa. Llama is no longer they closed last summer. I have a Llama subcompact 10+1 45auto and after a lot of polishing and different mag spring it a nice pistol. Shoot and enjoy it I'd start out with ball ammo and after shooting I'd start trying different HP .

I had a Bersa Mini-Firestorm in .45 and it worked just fine for me. Did fail to lock back the slide a couple of times when empty but that was due to a crappy mag spring.

It's easy to conceal, ambi friendly and groups pretty good with 200gr +P ammo. Downside is spare mags are $39 each and hard to find.

I've owned the exact gun you just bought for close to 4 years now, and have been 100% delighted with it. It feeds and fires any and all ammo I have put in it, and I've put LOTS of rounds through mine and its as tight as the day I bought it. great gun, good price. I think you will be VERY happy.

I have the exact same gun. You got a very good deal on yours. Mine is very reliable and has never had any problem of any kind after about 6 or 700 rounds. It feeds and fires everything I put in it. Its no target pistol but it is accurate enough for the close ranges in self defence.
