Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a firing pin spring for a Remington Sportsman Model 11. I have had this gun to several "gunsmiths" and none can repair it. The man that has the gun now has had it for a year and claims he puts in the order for the spring every week and can't find one. My deceased Dad bought it for me about 50 years ago. It is a 20 gauge with a modified choke. A good grouse gun! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For 12. ga. Don't know if the 20ga is the same or not.

But, it's just a simple coil spring for kritz-sake.

Any gunsmith worth his salt should have one close enough to work in his spring assortment, or junk box.
Or sometimes, you have to wind your own out of music wire.

If all else fails, you could probably find something in the spring assortment at the hardware store that could be made to work.
