Hi Guys,
I got my first AR-15 style rifle (M4)

Tell me what you think of the deal,

It's the DD Vickers signature rifle, I bought it used without the Aimpoint or Surefire and paid $1600

I's like new, with 40 rounds fired through it.
5.56, 16"B, Surefire flash hider, ect.

I bought it from my nephew who bought it new, he paid $3K

Nice! Now sign up for Larry's class and I bet you get to be teacher's pet. :D

J/K :D Excellent rifle! I have a DDM4V3 upper and love it.

I have read that there were only 250 of these made, I don't think that raises the value much but it's a cool looking rifle.
I need to go shoot it.

Nice rifle but couldn't the same one be assembled or purchased for less without the logo? I didn't price out each component but $3K, even with the optic and light, seems awfully steep. Was this panic pricing?

Sure you could spec out the same rifle, or make a change or two like midlength gas over carbine length. Still the Vickers Signature is a great AR most of us would be proud to own.

Same goes for the BCM EAG or BCM Jack. You could build one yourself.

$1600 is right around the price it would cost to build that and rifle. The hand guard alone cost $400.

I think it's fair price. Being a Vickers Signature rifle also adds some value.

The only thing about that rifle I don't understand is the color choices.

If it would allow me to shoot half as good/fast as larry it would be worth every penny and more!
Nice "piece of kit" as he'd say!
