Id rather see banged up wood than like new plastic.

totally agree with ya there! i have a few plastic guns and i have no desire to buy even one more. its wood and steel for me!

cz 550- fs model. set trigger, beautiful mannlicher stock, backup iron sights, just like my cz 452 .22 that I love. Downsides- internal mag, possibly too good looking to take hunting

for what you are looking for i would say that this sounds like a very good option.

I'll agree with the post above, out of my 3 bolt actions they are blind mag(in the stock), hinged floor plate, and the browning is a detachable mag with a drop down floor plate.

Out of all of them I like the hinged floor plate. I generally have time to load my rifle one by one and then get to business.
