First IPSC match

i recently happened upon a private range near me that hosts several practical type matches

last week i tried a casual concealed match...5 shots per course of fire..pretty fun

today i did an IPSC, wow what a whole different animal lol it wore me out and i didnt do so hot...wasnt prepared for shots that long and wasted alot of shots on those tiny poppers

up next to try is an IDPA and a Speed Steel

i just wish there was more practical shooting options for .22 LR guns like an IPSC class for rimfire or somthin

Speed steel is, at least around here, an older mans sport. Dont from the standing still position so even an old guy with a walker can shoot it. IPSC is a totally other beast and I enjoy them both. New around here is a club that does run and gun fun matches. No payouts. Low entry fee. I use it as a practice for steel and IPSC. They just added a new 2 gun which should be interesting. Papers get 2 shots each, no scoring rings, and steel gets knocked down. Easy enough until you start missing or forgetting which papers you did not shoot yet and get a 5 sec penalty for missing. They shoot multiple classes so even the 22 cal or carbine guys get a chance to shoot.

I can't wait to be beaten in my first even remotely club level IDPA match. >.<
