In the spirit of Kahr Carrier's "Last handgun purchase of 2003" thread, what do you plan on being the first handgun purchase of the new year?

And if you wish to elaborate into what few guns you have a clear plan on buying this year, feel free. :p

I'll go first...

The first handgun I plan on getting will probably be a Kahr TP9 with night sights.

I'd also like to pick up an older .22 revolver of some sort - either a Smith Hand Ejector or a Colt Police Positive.

And maybe a Repiblic Arms Patriot.

My first 1911 .45 ACP -- SA, Colt or Kimber

My first .357 -- S&W 66 or 686
-----------------

Possibly a Ruger .22 MKII, Beretta 92, BHP, S&W M60..............etc.

Hopefully an HK P2000 or a Beretta 92G-SD, if they ever get tested in Untacticalifornia :banghead:

The purchase was started last Saturday, but it will be consumated this Friday... My Precious will finally be ALL MINE!!!!

(LNIB Kimber Series I Pro CDP)

I had this conversation earlier today. I narrowed my purchases to:
1. S&W 625 w/ 5" barrel & adj. sights
2. USPc 45
3. SIG's 1911 - if & when it makes it into occupied territory

I am looking for a S&W Model 65-2 3" round butt. I hope I don't have to do what Ultraman had to do to find his model 63 4" round butt.

I hope my wallet works for this.

This is the year I will buy my first .41 Magnum. Pickings are pretty slim, especially since most used .41's aren't on the approved list so they don't show up in gunshops. :banghead:

Well, my 21st birthday is going to be at the end of 2004, so my first and only handgun purchase is going to be another Browning or FN Hi Power, which will be my carry piece.

Well, if you don't count rechambering my Contender 44 mag barrel to .444, the wife has decreed that the next handgun will be a Keltec P-3AT. And I haven't managed to stay married for 10 years by argueing with the wife.

I've got more 1911's than I can shoot. Looking for another minor caliber, prob .380. The CZ-83 looks good, but Bersa wins on its price point. No hurry. I really need to finish break-in on a couple others and learn to like the Mak, then I'll look for something new. Who knows, I might buy a second Mak :)

I am looking for a M29-2 or older, or a pinned barrel M24 S&W, I might get roped in on a M25 with a pinned barrel in great shape, or even a M57 in great shape. I am shopping for rather rare (in everyday terms) S&W wheelguns in somewhat odd calibers now. At this time nothing else interests me.

Well, my last for 2003 was on December 30th, and it was a PM9. This Saturday I'll be picking up a S&W 442. Guess I'm focused on carry guns at the moment. I'll probably spend much of January trying different holsters (IWB, ankle, pocket, bellyband...) and that will probably keep me busy for a while.

My first gun purchase will be a stainless Ruger GP100 in either the 4" adj. sight version or the 3" fixed sight full lug. Happy New Year to all, Mike

If it's just 'handgun related', it'll be new barrels for my CZ52, along with new firing pin and grips.

But if it's a new handgun entirely... well, another CZ52 is tempting, actually. :D The other options are a Mak or a .45; probably either a CZ97 or 1911 mil-spec. Which'll be first is almost just luck of the draw...

I have not decided, but very likely in this order if I can find them.

1) Broomhandle mauser
2) Registered Magnum
3) Shooter 44 Automag.

(I have expensive tastes!)
