I would just be careful. IF paypal somehow finds out that transaction was for a prohibited item..you could lose your $..No, I don't know how but, beware is all..I'm sure you know that tho.
Which I now know. I opened this account in PayPal’s start up days, either skimmed the agreement then or something changed. Anyway. In my case it’s all their money I use as credit. In the past year I’ve had two BoA credit cards compromised with fraudulent charges PayPal IMO is safer for online transactions and any balance is paid off monthly.

I think it changed. My best recollection/guess was it happened soon after the Virginia Tech shooting. eBay tightened up their sale of firearm parts and accessories over time as well. At one time you could buy fired brass off eBay but I think that ended right after the Columbine shooting.

Since you’re using PayPal Credit instead of the balance transfer service you’re probably OK as long as you’re sending money and not receiving it. I doubt they could legally confiscate the funds but I’m certain they could drag out the process where it would cost more to fight it than just take the loss.

Makes sense. I don’t receive money and all firearm purchases have been non BATF regulated items such as Black Powder arms and parts. I’ve never payed for a BATF regulated firearm thru them. I suppose I should inquire with them what the status on non FFL required firearms and parts. Nah, screw them it’s their money I’m playing with. The seller accepts the payment I’ll pay it.
