FN Scar SSR

Does anyone know if FN is going to release the Scar SSR for civilian sales. I want to get one. I am hoping there are some dealers out there that might have some idea. I am willing to get on a waiting list if it is possible.

Have heard nothing on that. I have however heard reports that FN will be selling barrels soon. IMO they should have been doing this a long time ago, but I understand that contracts come first. I would rather wait and get an FN barrel than jump the gun and get an aftermarket P.O.S.

From what we hear, probably not. They may but doubt it. We work very close with FN and have heard nothing on plans to make one available. Hope this helps. (and we hope they kick one out)

I like the longer handguard on the SSR. It would be pretty close to my ideal 7.62 battle rifle if you could get it with the light profile chrome lined 20" barrel from the regular SCAR 17, and the regular, lighter-weight stock.
