Forgotten weapons

That is a great channel as is C&Rsenal. They’ve got some lengthy, albeit, interesting and informative shows.

I like the longer content, I like the history on them. I do wish they would go back and update some of the early videos like the Lebel......if you look at that early content then to new stuff, they sure have come a long way.

Inrange is also good.

Forgotten Weapons is also on Amazon Prime. They put a bunch of them together with the same theme. It will be something like "Guns of the 80's" and they will generally be about 2 hours long.

Really? Thats awesome! We have AP. Would I search "forgotten weapons" or " weapons of the 80's" or something like that??
I'd like to watch some of this stuff.

One thing I enjoy are the designs. Watch enough of them you will come to realize that there aren't any design features that has not already been done. Today it is really more a matter of refinement and mixing design features.

The designs around 1900 are most interesting to me as there were no previous rules and experience with smokeless powder along with no Internet "experts" to tell inventors what and how to do it.

Whats the Rifle?
Taurus CT9 9mm carbine, only imported for about a year, think it was '13 or so. It was nice enough, though much heavier and longer than an AR9. Magazines were a problem too. ATF forbade Taurus from selling anything bigger than a 10-rounder and even these were hard to come by, although Colt and Uzi mags could be made to work with some difficulty. Eventually sold it to my buddy.

I think just Forgotten Weapons. The only real difference is a lead in with the production company name. The rest is just episodes strung together.

Ian gets $3/month from me at present. My other favorite firearm-oriented channels include C&rsenal (both Primer and Anvil), Paul Harrell, Taufledermaus, Bloke on the Range (transplanted Brits in Switzerland), Cap and Ball (Hungary), SBAM (Italy), IV888, Military Arms Channel, Larry Vickers, Brownells and Lucky Gunner. I give most of these guys at least $1/month via Patreon. All recommended.

That is fantastic.....he puts in a lot of work on that.

We all have our views on these people, one of them is a total idiot.....and several folks over on gunboards in the french section agree he is not as smart as he pretends to be.

For me tax stamp means never. I will never buy a full auto even if I win the lottery.

I don't really want to derail the thread but I am actually interested in why?

I can see several reasons, For me, it would be a one time toy.....or perhaps a once a year thing as I go to the middle of nowhere (issues in transporting stuff like that around) with a bunch of like minded folk with the same idea of turning money into noise. I see the same with a bump stock....it just turns money into noise.

For me it would be for historical reasons, I like old stuff, and while I have shot quite a few "machine guns" they really do little for me, but the history of them....now that is interesting, to be the care taker of that history does appeal to me.

I don't have much interest in machine guns besides the historical side. While I have been finger printed and all that for EMS, I don't want to be connected with the government in the firearms aspect of I can help it.

Yeah... the Amazon prime versions are just a bunch of web episodes tacked together and edited a bit. But it is a lot easier to queue up a prime than a whole bunch of youtube episodes. Good stuff for loading primer tubes too.

I don't know if I share his enthusiasm for the French weapons though... although they really did hit a home run with the MAS 49/56.

I watched the German weapons Amazon episode last night. I appreciated that Ian couldn't group a PSIG1 any better than an AK... but owned his marksmanship... with only the casual mention that he was shooting right handed.

I seem to recall them saying they will be doing just that

Both C&Rsenal and Forgotten Weapons are having problems with YouTube cutting them off from advertising revenue (because guns). Sign up with Patreon and give them a couple of bucks a month. If enough of us do it they will be able to keep making neat videos.

I hear you....I already have an FFL so likely my name is on some Dem's list of houses to hit....what is one more thing.
