Free Shipping AND Free HazMat

Well, it's a good deal, that's for sure, but it isn't "Free Shipping AND Free HazMat". It's more like free shipping and fees on any $100 or more purchase, OR free hazmat fee on a large powder order (you still have to pay shipping by FedEx ground and the handling/ins fee).

I think you gentlemen are being taken in by Jedi shipping tricks. Add up the stuff you wish to buy from Graf and Sons with their free HAZMAT or whatever. Then price the same stuff with the usual shipping fees at Powder Valley and then tell us how good a deal the Graf and Sons "free" thing is.

I guess they can afford the "Free Hazmat" offer.

They charge about $20 more for an 8# jug of Varget than Powder Valley.

Likewise on Primers @$10 more per box of BR-2's.

Every "free offer" has a price.

My LGS is within a couple bucks of the online places, for powder & primer. Easier & cheaper for me to go support my local guy.

The price difference is the reason I never get excited about anything "free"

Indeed. No company is a charity. Any promotion they ever offer is designed so that the gain from said promotion is greater than they're cost. Not that I fault Grafs for this - it's good business - it's just how it is.

32lbs of powder is just a bit much for me though. Maybe for someone who shoots more rifle they might go through that, but I mostly target shoot for handgun (I load rifle but just occasionally for hunting ammo), and in ~8 years I doubt I've used more than 10-12 pounds of powder.

Where is here? My local Guys are charging $42-46 per thousand for primers.
They have never ever been cheaper or even close to online prices, when I look at their prices I laugh.

Ours aren't quite that bad, but still bad. Its $4 per 100 primers if you want a single tray at a time, or $35/1000. Saw a new Keltec PF9 listed in there for $375.
