I am buying a replacement front sight for my Glock 20. It currently has Trijicon night sights on it and the front sight is only 0.150" tall. Being this short, it makes POI about 4-5" high at 15 yards. I want to lower the POI by installing a taller front sight. So far, I have found one that is 0.170" and another at 0.215". I am not sure if the .170 will be enough, and I wonder if the .215 will be too tall. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Do the math.

Step 1
Measure sight radius.

Step 2
Measure the firing distance in inches.

Step 3
To calculate the amount of movement needed to move the point of impact one inch, divide the sight radius by the firing distance.

For instance, if your sight radius is 5 inches, changing the sight height by 0.009" will change your point of impact one inch at 15 yards.

Thanks for the help guys. This is why I love THR. I think that a 0.200" ought to do the trick, and AmeriGlo has them for $42.
