well, with all this stuff ive been seeing about cz75's, I have to ask. Anyone got one in the portland area I can shoot? ;)

Theres a big gun show comming up this weekend, so I will take a close look at them and the BHP's. Although I have heard some bad stuff about CZ's stove piping with some types of ammo. Anyone have imput on this issue? Im used to the reliablity of my USP 40c, ive put about 1300 rounds through it so far, with zero malfunctions of any type.

Like I said, make sure you like the trigger on the CZ75B you pick because some aspects of it aren't going to improve without you dropping at least another $100 to fix it. From what I've read, the same could be true of a Sig, too.

Before you buy anything, take the time and money to go try out some different guns at a range that rents guns. Try everything from a Glock to a 1911-style gun, see what works for you. It could cost you a lot more to buy the wrong gun than to rent a few and try them out first.

DAMN you ask the hard questions!

I have both and LOVE both. The 226 is my favorite range run/carry gun. But the G34 is a gun that I can shoot very fast and get good hits with. It is looking like the 34 is going to be my IPSC gun for this season and possibly the future.

Thanks JeepDriver, thats the kind of input I was looking for, although you might have made it that much harder to decide lol!

So between the issues of stove pipes and inconsisstant triggers on the cz's I think that is not an option for me.

Well, since you gave the option...neither...
I had an XD-40 service, which I have since sold, but man I enjoyed that gun! I decided the 40 service just wasn't what I needed for ipsc production and I'm shooting Limited division now. However, I plan on getting the XD9 Tactical for production class in the future. I really liked that gun...the grip was perfect, high cap, great trigger, and it was really accurate...I'm tearing up a little so I gotta go now...Check it out before you make a decision.

If I could only have one I would probably go with the Sig. I owned a couple of 226's and still own a 228 that I picked up about 5 years ago. All of the Sigs that I owned were impressively accurate out of the box. Having said that.... I really enjoy my Glock G19 and shoot it a great deal, (IDPA). I'm also seriously thinking about picking up an SA XD in 9mm. The one that I checked out in .40cal felt really, really nice.

That seems an odd pairing to come down to me. I have a Glock 24 and I've shot a SIG 220. I liked the ergos on the SIG better and hated the sights on both of them. I can shoot my 24 extremely well and I image with just a little practice I'd have no trouble with SIGs either.

I'd say it would be a question of which points better for you. Both are good guns. Me? I'm saving my pennies for the CZ 75 SP-01 when it finally comes available. :D
