Saw this today at Temple's on-campus theater, and really enjoyed it. (Wasn't really sure what to expect.) In short, it's a satirical zombie flick; good oldies-heavy sound track (it's set in a sort of alternative 1950s), well-cast.
Good guns! Plenty of shotguns throughout, lots of what look to me to be old S&W revolvers, Garands, .22 rifles (for the kids to practice with during "Outdoor Education") including some beautiful slide-action ones.
(Also at the Outdoor Education session -- always make sure your .22 is *actually* empty
Not that I was watching it for gun accuracy, either, but I *know* a featherweight S&W revolver doesn't give you 10 rapid-fire shots (Unless you're Jerry Miculek, and I think the central character's mom would have him beat in this movie if she was really doing a tactical reload so fast. Or maybe she has a New York reload ready, and that detail is just not revealed to the viewer )
