I ended up with a 30 round C-Products to feed my 20" DPMS upper in 7.62x39 because Midway didn't have the 10s I wanted. Last week our order from CP came in and I now have 3 10s, a Grendel 10 and a 223 20rd.

I looked long and hard but the only difference between the 7.62 and the 6.5 I can see is the mag follower is another color, not a good sign as I had tried a Grendel mag before to my frustration.:fire: Well they worked the same to, or rather they didn't, my upper does not have M4 feed ramps and these mags seem to require them as many rounds (Wolf black box HP) hit the barrel extension. After trying many things I modded the follower to accept a AK47 mag spring, this holds the bullet end high enough to hit the feed ramps. Then I hit a new snag, often the rounds would sit with the base so low the bolt over-ran and I had an empty chamber, leaving a step for the spring at the rear for a bit more preload cured that issue too. I looked at moving the stock spring forward but it won't fit between the ribs, the AK47 spring will. BTW I'm using the Wolf cause it's the only non-corrosive ammo I have in quantity, hoping this round might be the worst feeding so the getting handloads to run will be easy.

I did buy the Cratex kit and those ramps are smooth now, not real thrilled with grinding them down to M4 profile but I may some day, only after the AR-Performance 7.62x39 SPR barrel gets here.

Yeah it's got the M4s, nitrated barrel, YHM folding front sight and a SuperBolt to.:D

I'll try to reply to any questions about the mag-mods.:)

(Sorry, bout twice a year I go on a Smilies kick.)
