Looking for grips of a specific nature for a 1911...

I have small hands. My RIA 1911 fits perfectly, with the thin wood panels. However, there is no checkering/stippling on the front strap, and I just can't bring myself to put skateboard tape on there.

I was talking to my dealer, and he told me that some company makes a set of rubber grips like the hogue, that have the finger detents in front and everything, but go *under* your normal grips with a really thin panel. Then you put your panels back on over the top of this "plate".

But he couldn't remember the name at all, except he was pretty sure it wasn't hogue.

Any ideas? There's a whole *slew* of gripmakers out there. THe biggest issue for me, is keeping it thin so I can reach. Had to go to a flat backstrap/housing as well...

Those look cool too. Since I don't have any other checkering, I'm thinking they'd look weird on my gun, but I can certainly see them being useful...
