Apparently, neither you or your father understand the policy that retailers will not accept ammunition as a return.

So, let me try and clarify this for you - ONCE YOU BUY THE AMMUNITION YOU OWN IT.

No retailer I know of will take a return of ammo. Never had to return a gun.

This is pretty standard practice for ANY retailer. You buy a gun, you own it. Any problems you have are between you and the manufacturer at that point.

What if it falls apart at the gun counter right after they hand it to you? Would you be within your rights to call your credit card company right on the spot and tell them to commence a charge-back?
