Gas piston conversion for Gamo Big Cat 1200

I want to do a piston conversion on a Gamo Big Cat 1200. Is there a particular manufacturers piston I should obtain?

I want to upgrade the rifle to a GRT 3 trigger. Will this work with a gas piston ?

Speaking of pistons where is the best place to buy?


Any and all advice appreciated.

I know you know a lot about piston conversions. Please tell me your thoughts on this one.

Odds are you can use a Crosman gas spring which are $26, plus $4 ship. See pix for how to on a Crosman, which also covers many Gamo but not certan about yours since they do odd stuff. So I'd have to see the insides of the gun and piston to say for sure, but one way other another it is doable. So take some pix if/when you take it apart.
Know that there's no guarantee the gas spring will last. I've lost at least half to leakage now. An option is to quiet the coil spring so it's basically identical to a gas except easier to cock and easier on the scope.
