Georgiacarry.org (GCO) is Georgia’s no-compromise voice for gun owners.

GCO believes that citizens of Georgia and the United States have the right to own and carry the firearm of their choice for any reason other than to commit a crime.

GCO works tirelessly to ensure that the rights of gun owners are not compromised by the Georgia General Assembly, local officials, and those who ostensibly support gun rights while they work behind the scenes to erode our liberties. GCO is a non-partisan, grassroots organization, and GCO works for gun owners, not politicians. We are not interested in “access” or being “inside players.” We will not protect or make excuses for politicians who say they are our “friends” and then demonstrate otherwise by voting against us.

Public policy is controlled by the people who consistently show up and stay involved. GCO believes informed, active gun owners are the best defense against those who endeavor to infringe our liberties. To that end, GCO works tirelessly to keep our membership informed and active, and our members respond with equal passion and commitment.

If you want to be treated like a valued member of a winning team, not just a member number and a source of revenue, if you want to be involved in defeating anti-gun bills and promoting gun ownership as a right, GCO wants you.

Dear GCO Member,

Since many of you are new to GeorgiaCarry.Org, Inc. ("GCO"), the GCO Board of Directors wanted to take a little time to introduce ourselves and tell you a little about the structure of the organization, as well as the current number of members. GCO is a nonprofit corporation registered with the Georgia Secretary of State on February 9, 2007. Unlike some of the anti-gun organizations operating in Georgia that pretend to be made up of a local membership, GCO has actual dues-paying members (you!) that show up and fight for the right to keep and bear arms. On this, the last day of the Georgia General Assembly session, we surpassed the number of 100 members.

We have a Board of Directors, consisting of the following individuals: John Corry, John Monroe, Matt Knighten, Dean Mallis, Mike Menkus, James Camp, and Ed Stone.

We have the following corporate officers:

President: Ed Stone
Vice President: John Monroe
Treasurer: Mike Menkus
Secretary: Matt Knighten

You may see GCO's corporate registration here. http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Corp.asp?1281194

In addition to the Board of Directors and the corporate officers, GCO also has several responsible positions that will be filled in the near future, serving under the current officers. Membership Coordinator (James Camp), several gun show coordinators, publisher, editor, event coordinator, and several others as the organization grows and the need arises.

GCO is an all volunteer, grassroots organization, which means that your participation is crucial to GCO's success.

With the end of the legislative session, please do not relax and wait until next year. GCO is going to be continuing your fight on the licensing issues in the probate courts and the local (city and county) level gun bans, as well as positioning legislators for a push to repeal the public gathering provision in 2008.

GCO will be scheduling a membership meeting this spring with a speaker that you will not want to miss, on the vital subject of getting legislators to vote for liberty on firearms issues. This is one you will not want to miss, and it would be encouraging to get more than 100 GCO members packed into one room to hear this important topic, from a man "on the inside." More details on this event will be forthcoming very soon.

In the meantime, please tell your friends and family about GCO!

Sincerely,
GCO
The Entire Board of Directors
