When I still had my 870, I had a Mesa side saddle 6 round carrier. I should still have the side saddle around here somewhere.

I emptied my 1100 mag twice on a yote, loading and running (and jumping hot hire fences).
From coat pocket. No bobbles. No lost shells either.
Was a lot younger then.
Bad back, can't jump or run for crap now LOL
Hell I'd proly forget my shells in another coat now too ;)

I was browsing for a Velcro nylon side saddle on eBay for my 590 and stumbled upon this mess of a shell holder. It was too hilarious not to share.

On a serious note, what kind of side saddle, or buttstock shell carrier do you prefer?

I don't understand. That looks really useful. It's for a shotgun, so you just hold the gun at hip level and point it in the general direction of your target, which, when you tank the trigger and hit it, will fly back through the wall. It's not like you need a sight plane of any description...

Can not say that is something I would buy.

Folks will make stuff, hype it up with cool pictures and fancy names, and other folks will buy into the hype and order it. Those of us who look at it and see it as completely blocking your line of sight will stay home.

While I would never find a use for it and find it completely silly, somewhere, someone may find it works for them. More power to that shooter, I'll save myself the 35 bucks.

I do have an 870 with a 20" rifle-sight barrel, a +3 Choate extension tube and a sidesaddle with 6 more. The tube holds 7 Federal #1 buck, the sidesaddle two more buck and 4 Winchester segmenting slugs.

Stay safe!
