Greetings, does anyone know if it is legal to gift a revolver to an 18 year old in NH if both people are residents of the state? Does anything need to go through an ffl or something like that? Much thanks

AFAIK...

There are no NH laws that prohibits the transfer of any type of Title 1 firearm (handgun, rifle, shotgun, other) between non-prohibited NH residents that are 18 years of age or older.

There are no NH laws that requires the use of a NH FFL dealer to facilitate the transfer of firearms between NH residents.

No, NH has no prohibition on private transfers.

An 18-20 yo may not buy a handgun from an FFL (Federal law), but may possess one.

Then again, it would be good practice to go find out for yourself. NRA's State Summary is good to start, and you can always read NH's RSAs online. We could all be in on a vast conspiracy. . .

Live Free or Die, and do your own research.
