I gave myself the Kahr CM.45 auto.
Let us know how that goes. My P45 was somewhat temperamental. It went for 200 rounds at a string, then started throwing random babbles for a couple of magazines, then worked flawlessly again. I could never figure out what was wrong with it, and as a result, I could never trust it enough to carry. Swapped it for Shield 45 as a result. But I hear from many people who get outstanding reliability from their .45 Kahrs.

I've got 1500 rounds or so thru my CM 45 with nary a bobble, unlike my CM 40s, which both needed the 200 round break in recommended by Kahr.
It has replaced a Smith 340PD as my always gun.

If1HitU,

I think you will find that G21 to be one solid piece of work. That's one serious Go to War gun. Happy shooting.

I had a Kahr P45, the upgraded CW/CM45. I intended to make it my carry piece, but it had some ignition problems (that I traced to what I believe was a short chamber.) I also found it didn't fit my hand as well as the CW9 I was already carrying... so I just stuck with that and traded the P45 off... for another CW9.

When it did fire, it was accurate as all get out, and I didn't think the recoil was that bad vs my 4" 1911, even considering the lighter weight.

On the downside... both of my .45 magazines cracked at the top, on the back of the spine at the weld, so I would keep an eye on that. The mag will be difficult to insert into the pistol, and not drop free when you punch it out.

Congrats on the birthday gifts. I came across a 21 a few weeks ago at a price I couldn't turn down. It's a fantastic shooter. So far it's fed everything, handles recoil well and is accurate. There's nothing I don't like about it. Have fun with yours.
