glock 23 barrel damage

Nope. I'm not a glock guy, but anytime the bottom lug is damaged is not a good thing. Gotta figure out what's wrong else it gets worse. It could lock up the gun or worse.

I know that sending a handgun back can be a pain, but..... we’re I you, I would call Glock service and ask them about returning the 23 to them for repair. Most times that requires a return number.

If that chip is a part defect, they need to know about it as soon as possible.

The only thing that I can think of that comes into contact with that part of the barrel is the locking block. What does that look like? The locking block, that is. Any damage on the inside of the frame. Did you tear it down and have a look? Are you sure you didn't drop it at some point and are only just noticing it? Do you have any aftermarket parts in the gun?
